Shane Hinton is the author of three books of fiction: Pinkies, Radio Dark, and Other Shane Hintons. He is the editor of the 2017 anthology We Can’t Help It If We’re From Florida and the forthcoming follow-up Let It Sink. His books are published by Burrow Press, a small independent press based in Orlando, Florida.
Hinton’s work has received a Florida Book Award and been named a notable small press book by Literary Hub as well as a finalist for the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses Firecracker Award.
Hinton is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Creative Writing program at The University of Tampa. He has led workshops at the DISQUIET International Literary Program, the Stetson University MFA in Creative Writing, and the St. Leo University MA in Creative Writing.
He previously served as President of the Florida Literary Arts Coalition and Director of its annual Other Words conference.
